Storage Alternatives Dry Coal Cleaning Methods Remediation/Waste Utilization
The technologies listed below have been identified as alternatives to the use of coal waste impoundments or as remediation techniques for the removal of existing impoundments. The first category, Storage Alternatives, include technologies that eliminate impounds by exploring other waste storage locations. The second category, Dry Coal Cleaning Methods, include technologies that can clean coal without the use of water thereby eliminating the need for impoundments. The third category, Remediation/Waste Utilization, includes technologies designed to cleanup impoundments and use impoundment materials as an energy source.
